Don’t be fooled by your Mona Lisa smile in this picture – I don’t think you’ve ever been as exuberant as you are this week.
You’ve found your voice.
For quite some time now you’ve been making noises, random squawks and vowel utterances that seem to surprise you as much as us. But this week, to your utter delight, you’ve discovered that you are the one making those noises and you decide when and, most importantly, at what volume to make them.
(You definitely go up to 11.)
We’ve had some great conversations this week. You’re starting to get the hang of the give-and-take conversational flow. I say something to you, you say, “aaaaaaaah” right back. I ask you a question, you query, “ahh-AH?” in return. And then you go “AAAAAAAH!” just for the hell of it.
It’s like my made-up conversations with the cats, only better.
So now, in addition to being my little shadow, you also provide a running commentary on everything we do during the day.
I sincerely hope that this doesn’t get old, because right now I find it absolutely adorable and encourage this “talking” as much as possible.
Love you always, sweet girl. And I can’t wait to hear what else you have to say.
